New York 2026

We loved NYC!

30 Year 11 and 12 students went on a 'trip of a lifetime' to New York City over the half term break. Led by Ms Purnell, who has been running the Art and Culture trip for over a decade; students (along with Mr Daly and Ms Bridge) had an incredible experience over the 5 days. Staying in Midtown Manhattan, they explored Liberty Island; The Empire State Building; Brooklyn Bridge and numerous iconic sites.

Evening entertainment included a Broadway Show, Operation Mincemeat which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. In addition, an evening ice-skating in a snow-filled Central Park and a trip to the Barclays Centre to watch the Harlem Globetrotters celebrate their centenary year in a stylish basketball game.

The weather was kind too, sunny and cold- perfect for walking along the Hudson or shopping around Time Square!
Despite a few blisters and aching feet, students thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were an absolute pleasure to take along. We were very proud to be told that they were wonderful ambassadors for Kineton High School by staff in several tourist locations. Thank you to everyone who went for making it such a memorable experience
