Parents’ Survey
Thank you to all the parents who completed the questionnaire for the school year 2009/10. The results show that the majority of parents believe that Kineton High is a good school.
More than 70% of parents agreed that:
- Students enjoy coming to Kineton and are known as individuals and well cared for.
- Students are encouraged to work to the best of their ability and there is mutual respect between teachers and students.
- The school is well led and managed effectively and has a good reputation in the community.
- Teachers are approachable and sympathetic, treat parents like partners and give parents accurate pictures of their child’s progress.
No areas were identified as weaknesses (ie with more than 50% of parents identifying them).
Some areas for development we need to do more work on included:
- Feedback on the impact of the Sports College Status.
- Offering more student leadership opportunities for Year 7 & 8.
- Improving the spread of homework across a week, particularly Year 10 & 11.
- Improving Parents’ Consultations notification and appointment booking.
- Developing other communications particularly electronic communications.
There are activities already underway to improve our performance in these areas.
