Parents’ Survey

Thank you to all the parents who completed the questionnaire for the school year 2009/10.  The results show that the majority of parents believe that Kineton High is a good school.

More than 70% of parents agreed that:

  • Students enjoy coming to Kineton and are known as individuals and well cared for.
  • Students are encouraged to work to the best of their ability and there is mutual respect between teachers and students.
  • The school is well led and managed effectively and has a good reputation in the community.
  • Teachers are approachable and sympathetic, treat parents like partners and give parents accurate pictures of their child’s progress.

No areas were identified as weaknesses (ie with more than 50% of parents identifying them).

Some areas for development we need to do more work on included:

  • Feedback on the impact of the Sports College Status.
  • Offering more student leadership opportunities for Year 7 & 8.
  • Improving the spread of homework across a week, particularly Year 10 & 11.
  • Improving Parents’ Consultations notification and appointment booking.
  • Developing other communications particularly electronic communications.

There are activities already underway to improve our performance in these areas.
